Only 2 William Samuel are in the 1881 census as a possible match. Both are widowers.
The BMD has a death entry in Merthyr
Deaths Dec 1903
Samuel Ellen 60 Merthyr T 11a 395
which matches her profile which could mean that the family is either not in England/Wales at the time of the 1881 census or they are mis-indexed
On the Galloway side I have incorporated the birth dates of all George Galloway's children. These were discovered by Norman Carpenter in the Galloway Family Bible which I believe he saw at Ronald Galloway's house, 74 Miskin Street, Treherbert when he visited there on 21 July 1966.
All the Scottish Galloways were born at Hatton Burn Farm and all christened at Balgedie Presbyterian Church. She is shown in the 1851 census data of orwell (age 8)
