Joseph James was born in 1833 in Timsbury, Somerset. He was Christened on the 14th of April 1833 in Timsbury, Somerset. He married 1 Sarah Phipps on the 30th September 1857 in The Register Office, Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, Wales. 2 Eleanor Jones on the 2nd March 1872 in Sardis Chapel (Independant) by Certificate. He was a Coalminer then a Shoemaker. He died age 75 on the 9th August 1908 in Welton, Midsomer Norton, Somerset.
