My grandmother was Jane Rogerson Veitch, who came to Australia with her parents and married Ebenezer Jackson in Melbourne, Victoria in 1895. Ebenezer was at that stage a Major in the Salvation Army and was conductor of the Salvation Army band in Melbourne.
